Skin – our body’s largest organ
Layer – the plastic wrap modeled on layer of our skin. Skin actually has several layers.
Structure - how something is built. Each layer of skin has its own special structure.
Function – purpose. Each layer of skin also has its own special function.
Melanin – a chemical that determines your skin color. Darker skin has more, lighter skin has less.

ReplyDeleteShould we be keeping a copy on hand of the reading vocabulary and science vocabulary to review with our kids during the week?
Are they tested on these vocabulary, or just part of their daily school work and assignments.
